On 6 February 2026, Mr. Chadchart Sittipunt, Governor of Bangkok, and Mr. Sumit Srisantithum, Member of the Sustainability Committee of BTS Group Holdings Public Company Limited (BTS Group), together with BTS Group executives Ms. Narissara Srisunt, Advisor, and Ms. Sinatta Kiewkhong, Director of Investor Relations and Sustainability, as well as Mr. Pornphrom N.S. Vikitseth, Advisor to the Governor of Bangkok, jointly supported the Green List Plus project (Fight Against PM2.5) at BTS Mo Chit Station.

The project encourages the public to have their vehicles inspected, change engine oil, and replace air filters to help reduce PM2.5 emissions and collectively drive the city toward a green economy. Participants may present a vehicle inspection receipt from participating partners to redeem a 100 baht voucher at four designated BTS stations - Mo Chit, Siam, Asok, and Chong Nonsi, from 6 February 31 March 2026, or while vouchers last.

Mr. Chadchart stated that the PM2.5 air pollution issue remains a significant challenge that requires cooperation from all sectors. The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration extends its appreciation to government agencies, the private sector, and members of the public for their joint efforts in advancing the Green List Plus project (Fight Against PM2.5), which demonstrates the strength of collaboration in enhancing measures to address air pollution in Bangkok. He also encouraged the public to ensure proper vehicle maintenance, particularly through regular engine oil changes, to help reduce vehicular emissions. He expressed confidence that with collective commitment and sustained cooperation, the dust problem can be mitigated and Bangkok’s air quality improved over the long term.

Mr. Sumit stated that BTS Group’s support for the Green List Plus project, “Fight Against PM2.5,” aligns with the company’s vision and commitment to developing clean energy transportation systems in pursuit of its Net Zero target by 2050, in parallel with national development goals. BTS Group leverages the capabilities of its mass transit network and affiliated businesses, including the BTS SkyTrain, the MRT Nakkhara Phiphat (Yellow Line), the MRT Wiwat Nakhon Line (Pink Line), and the Gold Line—to promote sustainable and environmentally friendly urban mobility. Since commencing operations in 1999, the BTS SkyTrain has facilitated more than 4.5 billion passenger journeys and helped avoid over 2.3 million tonnes of carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions. This underscores BTS Group’s role in advancing Bangkok toward becoming a clean, healthy, and sustainable city.

The Green List Plus project, “Fight Against PM2.5,” emphasizes encouraging the public to begin with proper vehicle maintenance and adjustments to daily behaviors in order to reduce emissions at the source. Such efforts not only help mitigate the PM2.5 issue in the short term but also lay an important foundation for enhancing the quality of life of urban residents and supporting Bangkok’s long-term development as a clean, livable, and sustainable city.
