BTSC is the sole concessionaire for the original Network of Bangkok’s Sky train system. The original Network comprises 23.5km of elevated trackwork and 23 stations built on a single column support structure and forming the Silom Line (dark green) and Sukhumvit Line (light green) which runs through the heart of Bangkok’s commercial, business and tourist districts.
BTSC has also been awarded the Operating and Maintenance Agreements by Krungthep Thanakom Company Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA) to operate and maintain two extensions of BTS SkyTrain i.e. the 2.2km (2 stations) extension to the Silom line as well as the 5.25 km extension to the Sukhumvit line and the 5.25 km (5 stations) extension to the Sukhumvit line. |

In May 2010, BTSC was awarded the operation and maintenance contract for Bangkok’s inaugural Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) line. The BRT Line comprises 12 stations with buses running along a 15km long dedicated bus lane. There is direct connectivity (via SkyBridge link) between BRT Sathorn and BTS Chong Nonsi stations. |

Strategy : The Group will continue to position itself to capture the growth in demand for Bangkok’s commuting solutions, both via organic growth, accommodating capacity increases as well as partaking in the Governments plan to increase the size of Greater Bangkok’s mass transit network to 495 km by 2030. The Group will consider overseas expansion on an opportunistic basis. |
